On this day trip to Los Haitises National Park, we'll explore one of the most beautiful areas on the Samaná Peninsula and visit petroglyph caves.
At the designated time, we'll meet at Parque Colón and leave behind Santo Domingo to begin this unforgettable day trip to Los Haitises National Park. Let's go!
After a 2.5 to 3-hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination, where we'll board a boat and set sail for the cays of Los Haitises. We'll pass maze-like mangrove forests and imposing rock formations, and visit its petroglyph caves with Taino artwork. After marvelling at nature, we'll make a stop at the Arena Cave, a beautiful space next to the beach.
The route will then continue sailing towards the island of Cayo Levantado, where we'll visit and enjoy a delicious lunch consisting of a typical Dominican dish.
Lastly, we'll begin the journey back to our original meeting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after a total of 12 to 13 hours.
